Jacob graduated from the University of Sydney in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Commerce (Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management) and Diploma of Language Studies (Japanese) with distinction.
Jacob joined Harmers in February 2015 as a paralegal before becoming a clerk and then a Graduate-At-Law.
Prior to joining Harmers, Jacob worked as a researcher at Sydney Law School, a Human Resource graduate for an ASX top 100 company, an organiser for a national union and a manager for a retail chain.
Jacob received a number of academic prizes and first place results whilst at university, including the Playfair Prize in Migration Law, the Harmers Workplace Lawyers prize in Anti-Discrimination Law, the Aaron Levine Prize in Criminal Law, the Walter Reid Memorial Prize in Law, the Jack McCormack Perpetual Prize in Industrial Relations, the Jack McCormack Perpetual Prize in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Practice, the Sir Alexander Beattie Prize in Development of Labour History and the Academy Global Prize in Human Resource Management. He also received a first place result in Health and Safety at Work.
As a Graduate-At-Law, Jacob works across all of the firms practice areas. He has particular interests in discrimination law, employment law and commercial law.
