Joshua Handley

Joshua completed his Juris Doctorate with Distinction at in the University of New South Wales in 2018. He completed specialist electives in Anti-Discrimination, Advanced Contract Law, Negotiation, Mediation and Dispute Resolution. Joshua also placed on the Dean’s List in 2018 for achieving the highest grade in Mediation.

Joshua joined Harmers as a Summer Clerk in 2016 and continued to work as a paralegal while completing his legal studies.

While at university, Joshua was employed as a tutor and mentor for several foundational law subjects. He was also an active member of the UNSW Law Society and the director of activities for post-graduate students. In addition, Joshua undertook a period of work experience at the Fair Work Commission.

Prior to studying law, Joshua graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2012 with a Bachelor of Creative Arts/Bachelor of Arts (Honors – First Class) in Creative Writing and English Literature. He worked in several areas of university administration, including student accommodation services and student services. Joshua also worked in business development and has a sound understanding of commercial challenges in both the private and public sector.

Joshua works across all of the firm’s practice areas for both corporate and individual clients.
