Roy joined Harmers in November 2015 and works across all of the firm’s practice areas.
Prior to joining Harmers, Roy worked as a solicitor and advisor with a number of international and national law firms and employment relations practices. He has advised clients on employment relations and workplace matters in industries ranging from financial services to construction, healthcare and education. Roy has gained valuable experience in matters including drafting employment contracts and independent contractor agreements, advising on restraints of trade and award interpretation, and assisting clients in devising and implementing effective performance management, disciplinary and termination processes.
Roy graduated from the University of New South Wales with combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees with distinction in 2010. During his undergraduate studies, Roy became a finalist in the International Commercial Mediation Competition, held by the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. During his studies he also completed specialist electives in employment law, family law, alternative dispute resolution, negotiation, facilitation and mediation.
Roy was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in August 2012 and further admitted to the High Court of Australia in March 2014.
