Angela Zhang

SOLICITOR

Angela graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Distinction). She commenced working at Harmers as a paralegal in 2019, and is currently a solicitor.

During her studies, Angela worked as an intern at the Australian Human Rights Institute, where she conducted research and analysis into modern slavery laws around the world, while compiling data on modern slavery practices within Australia specifically. This work ultimately assisted with the Institute’s development of influential reports and proposals for reforming Australia’s Modern Slavery Act.

Angela’s various volunteering experiences also reflect her strong interest in social issues and supporting the community. In 2022, Angela volunteered at the Kingsford Legal Centre, where she provided advice and assistance to clients across a number of areas, including employment, discrimination, domestic violence and victims compensation. Angela was also a presenter for the UNSW Law Society’s Student Legal Education Group, a non-profit organisation which seeks to empower disadvantaged members of the community through law-related education.

Angela currently works across all of the firm’s practice areas for both corporate and individual clients, and has a particular interest in discrimination and sexual harassment matters.
