Zoe Nutter

GRADUATE-AT-LAW

Zoe completed a Juris Doctor at the University of Sydney in May 2025 on a Commonwealth supported place awarded for academic merit. Zoe also holds a Master of Law and International Development (Distinction) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) from Goldsmiths, University of London.

Zoe joined Harmers Workplace Lawyers as a summer clerk in 2024 and is currently a Graduate-At-Law. Prior to joining the firm, Zoe coordinated the Sydney Policy Reform Project at the University of Sydney, where she oversaw research on policy and law reform for external stakeholders, conducted by teams of high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has also worked as a membership officer at a national union and as a fundraising coordinator at a global human rights organisation.

During her time at Sydney Law School, Zoe ranked first place in Labour Law; Work Health and Safety Law and Policy; and Theories of Justice. She was awarded the Harmers Workplace Lawyers Prize for Labour Law and the Christopher E Bergin Award for Excellence in Writing, issued by a nonprofit tax publisher in the US.

Zoe has conducted extensive research on labour issues in both domestic and international contexts. In 2021, she co-authored an article with Professor Mary Crock (Professor of Public Law, University of Sydney) published in the Cambridge International Law Journal (Volume 10, Issue 2). She also contributed a chapter to Labour Migration in the time of COVID-19: Inequalities and Perspectives for Change (CNR Edizioni, 2021), an edited volume organised by the Department of Law at the University of Naples Federico II and the National Research Council of Italy, with support from the European Union.

Zoe enjoys assisting in all the firm’s practice areas and is committed to developing her skills across a broad range of legal matters.
